Recognising clinical competence and supporting the harmonisation of Oral Surgery standards across Europe.
The European Board in Oral Surgery — EBOS — Assessment 2026 will take place on 4 and 5 September 2026 in Barcelona.
Organised by the European Federation of Oral Surgery — EFOS — the EBOS examination is designed both as a quality label and as a contribution to the harmonisation of standards of training and clinical practice in Oral Surgery across European countries.
Successful candidates are awarded the title of Fellow of the EBOS, recognising their clinical competence and their ability to practise Oral Surgery safely and independently.
Passing the EBOS examination does not confer the right to claim the title of Specialist in Oral Surgery, nor does it grant the right to practise Oral Surgery in any country. This right is solely granted by the national authority of each country.
