The European Federation of Oral Surgery — EFOS — is a non-profit scientific organisation dedicated to the development, recognition and promotion of Oral Surgery in Europe.
EFOS was created to encourage scientific cooperation, professional education and the establishment of high clinical standards within the field of Oral Surgery.
As a European federation, EFOS brings together national Oral Surgery societies, professionals, academics and specialists who share a common commitment to clinical excellence, scientific progress and the protection of public health.

Mission
The mission of EFOS is to protect and promote public health in the field of Oral Surgery across Europe.
To achieve this mission, EFOS supports research, promotes high standards of clinical practice and encourages the continuous education of oral surgeons, medical and dental practitioners, as well as other allied healthcare professionals.
EFOS also contributes to the development and recognition of Oral Surgery as a professional field, supporting initiatives that strengthen the specialty within the European healthcare and academic context.
